Nope, Pattern Matcher can't fetch itself. When Pattern Matcher enters the battlefield, it looks for another creature in your deck that shares a creature type with the creature that triggered the ability. Since Pattern Matcher isn't on the battlefield when it's triggering its own search, it can't fetch another copy of itself. Gotta find a different creature to make the most out of that ability!

Short answer: No. Pattern Matcher can't search for another Pattern Matcher. It's all about finding another creature in your deck that shares a type with the one that's already playing. No self-fetching shenanigans here!

Actually, it doesn't work like that. Pattern Matcher鈥檚 ability specifies looking for a creature with the same type as one that caused the ability to trigger, not itself. So, no, it can't fetch itself.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
