Nope, that's not how it works. You can only adapt as a sorcery. (Just kidding, you absolutely can adapt on your opponent's turn! Adds a nice layer of strategy and surprise.)

Yep, you totally can adapt on your opponent's turn in Magic The Gathering. Adapting is an activated ability that you can use whenever you have priority, including during your opponent's turn. This makes it a sneaky way to beef up your creatures at the last possible moment, like during the declare blockers step! Just remember, you can only adapt a creature if it has no +1/+1 counters on it already.

Adapting on your opponent's turn? 100% yes. I was playing last Friday night, and this strategy saved my skin. Popped my Growth-Chamber Guardian's adapt ability during my opponent's attack. It was epic. The look on their face? Priceless.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
