I tried blinking a token during a game thinking it would come back with all sorts of cool ETB (Enter the Battlefield) effects. Imagine my surprise when it just vanished forever. Lesson learned: Tokens don't play by the usual rules when it comes to blinking.

Not really. You can try to blink a token, but it's like trying to download food. Sounds cool, but it's not going to end up on your plate.

Definitely! In Magic The Gathering, 'blinking' refers to exiling a card and then returning it back to the battlefield, usually immediately. While this works wonders for permanent cards, when you 'blink' a token, it gets exiled alright but doesn鈥檛 come back. This is because tokens cease to exist once they hit the exile zone. So, you can technically blink them, but they won't return to play.

Short answer: Yes, you can blink tokens, but they won't come back. Once tokens leave the battlefield, they're gone for good!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
