Yep, counter it and watch the sadness in your opponent's eyes. Buyback is cool and all, until it hits the graveyard. Then it's just another spell that didn't make it.

Absolutely, you can counter a spell with Buyback just like any other spell in Magic The Gathering. When you counter it, the spell doesn't resolve, so the Buyback effect doesn't happen either, meaning it goes straight to the graveyard instead of going back to the caster's hand. However, remember you're countering the spell itself, not the Buyback ability specifically.

Nope, countering it doesn't stop the Buyback. You counter the spell, Buyback still triggers. It's like trying to stop a train by yelling at it.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
