Short answer, no. You can't stop your opponent from playing lands outright. MTG doesn't roll that way.

Nope, you can't directly prevent your opponent from playing lands because MTG doesn't have a mechanic that stops players from playing land cards as part of their normal turn. However, there are cards and strategies that can disrupt or control your opponent's land play indirectly, like destroying lands after they've been played or using cards to control how they can be used.

Well, technically you can't stop them from placing lands, but who needs to when you can just blow those lands up once they're on the table? There's plenty of land destruction cards in MTG. Sure, it's not stopping them from playing the land, but it's the next best thing!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
