Absolutely! While MTG Commander is traditionally a multiplayer format aimed at 3-4 players for a more social game experience, there's no rule against playing with just 2 players. In fact, it can be a fun challenge, as you'll have to adapt your strategies and deck to a head-to-head scenario rather than the usual dynamic of a multiplayer matchup. Just remember, the spirit of Commander is fun and creativity, so as long as you're both enjoying the match, you're doing it right!

Sure, 2-player Commander is a thing, but IMO, it kinda misses the point. Commander shines with big groups, wild plays, and back-and-forth alliances. Two players just turns it into a long, drawn-out duel.

Yeah you can, but it's not the best way to experience Commander. Commander's all about chaos and unpredictability with a bunch of players influencing the game. With just two, it feels more like a duel where the decks might not shine as they're supposed to. Still, if it's all you got, go for it!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
