Nope, once it's on, it's on. Think of it as super glue for your monsters.

Actually, you kinda can, but it's not straightforward. Some cards let you attach equipment to a different creature, which is essentially 'unequipping' from one and equipping to another. But a simple button to unequip doesn't exist in MTG. You have to play smart!

In Magic The Gathering, equipment cards don't exactly 'unequip' in the same way you might think from video games. Once you equip an artifact to a creature, it stays equipped unless the creature leaves the battlefield, the equipment is destroyed, or another card effect specifically says to detach or move the equipment. So, no, you can't just decide to unequip at will during your turn without some specific card interactions allowing it.

Short answer: No. You can't just unequip something because you feel like it. There's gotta be a card or effect in play that lets you shuffle your equipment around.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
