Do Cipher Spells Copy the Cipher in MTG?
Yep, cipher spells in MTG do something super cool. When you cast a cipher spell, after it resolves, you get to encode it onto a creature you control. Then, whenever that creature hits your opponent with combat damage, you can cast a copy of the encoded spell for free! So, it doesn't directly copy the 'cipher' part onto another card, but it lets you cast the spell again without paying its mana cost, which is pretty awesome if you ask me.

Cipher's overrated. Just use direct damage spells; much simpler and gets the job done faster.
Cipher spells don't 'copy' in the traditional sense. They attach to a creature and let you cast a copy of the spell whenever that creature deals combat damage to a player. So, no, you don't get endless ciphers, but you do get to reuse the spell, which is arguably better.
