Absolutely, older versions of the proliferate mechanic in Magic The Gathering work just like the newer ones. The beauty of MTG is that card mechanics are defined by the rules of the game, not by the specific print date of a card. So, whether your proliferate card came from 2011's New Phyrexia or a more recent set, it functions the same way. Just choose any number of permanents and/or players with counters on them, then give each another counter of a kind already there. Simple and powerful!

Old is gold! The old proliferate cards work exactly the same. Wizards of the Coast makes sure that the game's mechanics are consistent, so you don't need to worry about the version. If it says proliferate, then you're set to multiply those counters!

nah, all proliferate cards do the same thing regardless of when they were printed. if it proliferates, it proliferates.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
