Nope, you don't need to tap your creatures to block in MTG. When it's time for the defending player to declare blockers during the combat phase, they can choose untapped creatures to block incoming attackers. Just remember, once a creature is tapped, it can't be declared as a blocker until it's untapped again.

Nah, keep'em untapped. If they're tapped, they're basically taking a nap and missing the action. Blocking's off the menu for them.

Actually no, tapping isn't required to block. It seems counterintuitive but that's how the rules roll. Your creatures can stand tall and block without tapping. Just make sure they aren't already snoozing from tapping for another reason!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
