Absolutely, loyalty counts as a type of counter in Magic The Gathering! Each planeswalker card comes into play with a certain number of loyalty counters, which are added or removed when using their abilities. So, when you're slinging spells and summoning creatures, remember that managing those loyalty counters is key to getting the most out of your planeswalkers!

Loyalty does count as a type of counter. Used to think it didn't until a friend used a planeswalker in a game. Learned my lesson when they started adding and removing those loyalty counters like a pro.

Hot take: Thinking of loyalty as just another counter simplifies things too much. Yeah, technically, they're counters, but they're what make planeswalkers tick. It's like saying a car engine is just another car part鈥攊t's the heart!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
