Absolutely not. Counters are a core part of a creature's stats in Magic The Gathering. A +1/+1 counter increases both power and toughness by 1. This can seriously turn the tide of a game if used wisely!

Nope, counters definitely add to a creature's power (and toughness) in MTG. Think of them like the gym for your creatures; the more counters, the beefier they get. So, if you slap a +1/+1 counter on your creature, it's basically like giving it a permanent power (and toughness) boost in the game.

Just to clarify: when we're talking about counters, we're usually referring to +1/+1 counters which do increase a creature's power and toughness. However, there are also -1/-1 counters that do the exact opposite. So yeah, counters matter big time.

Trust me, I've been playing MTG for years, and counters can make or break your strategy. They're not just decorative - they boost your creature's power and can help you win the game.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
