Yes, but remember, it's not just 'double damage' out of nowhere. Double strike means the creature deals damage during the first-strike damage step AND the regular damage step. So if it's swinging at a player, that player is taking hits during both steps of combat.

Absolutely, double strike means that the creature deals both first-strike and regular combat damage. So if your creature with double strike is unblocked, it will hit the player twice during combat, effectively dealing double its damage to the player!

Nope, it deals its damage in two phases but the total isn't 'double'鈥攊t's just the creature's power dealt twice. Still, careful with those double strikers; they can end games fast if unchecked.

Sort of misleading to just say 'double damage.' It deals its damage twice, yes, but in two separate combat damage steps. Important distinction for interactions with other cards and abilities.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
