Nah, 'dying' in MTG isn't just for creatures. It's a bit of a misnomer because it mainly applies to creatures hitting the graveyard from the battlefield. But, technically, any card (like artifacts, enchantments, or planeswalkers) can 'die' if we're talking about moving to the graveyard. It's just that creatures have the most drama about it!

Actually, 'dying' specifically refers to creatures going to the graveyard from the battlefield. Other types of cards, like artifacts and enchantments, don't 'die'; they're simply put into the graveyard from play. So yeah, dying is a creature-exclusive event.

Only creatures 'die' in the literal game term sense. Cards like instants and sorceries just go to the graveyard after they're used; they don't 'die' because they weren't alive on the battlefield.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
