Does Trample Hurt Planeswalkers in MTG?
Absolutely! In MTG, when you're attacking a planeswalker with a creature that has trample and the defender blocks, any excess damage that isn't enough to destroy the blocker can indeed be assigned to the planeswalker. Just make sure you're declaring the planeswalker as the attack target when you initiate the attack!

Not really a big deal. People worry too much about trample vs planeswalkers. Just focus on direct damage; it's simpler and you avoid the whole blocking mess.
Short answer: Yes, it does. If your trample creature has more power than the blocker's toughness, the leftover damage goes to the planeswalker.
