Nope, transforming a card does not untap it in Magic The Gathering. When you transform a card, it stays in the same state (tapped or untapped) unless the card's specific instructions say otherwise. So if your werewolf was napping sideways (tapped), it's still gonna be snoozing after it becomes its scary night-time self.

Actually, transforming a card in MTG doesn't untap it. It's a common misconception! The card keeps its orientation (tapped or untapped) through the transformation.
