Backgrounds in MTG are a newer type of card introduced in the Dungeons & Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms set. They're like enchantments that you attach to your Commander in the Commander format. Each background gives your Commander a unique bonus or ability, allowing for more customizable and thematic decks. The key thing is, you can only use a Background if your Commander has the 'Choose a Background' ability, making it a fun twist to deck building!

Simple: Backgrounds add spice to your Commander games. Pick one that matches your commander's 'Choose a Background' text, and enjoy the extra powers. Think of it as giving your Commander a backstory with benefits.

Personally, I think Backgrounds complicate things. Just stick to the basics.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
