MTG pros usually use the 'Mash Shuffle' for its efficiency and safety on the cards. They split their deck in half and gently 'mash' the two halves together, ensuring the cards aren't bent. This method is quick and helps keep the cards in good condition over time. It's also a good way to ensure a thorough mix if done a few times.

Just do the overhand shuffle, folks. Quick, easy, and gets the job done. Who has time for fancy shuffling when there's a game to win?

Pile shuffling alone isn鈥檛 enough for a random mix but good for counting cards to ensure all are present before a game. Pros often use it in combination with mash or riffle shuffling for a truly randomized deck.

I've watched pro players and can say that many of them actually prefer riffle shuffling. Yes, it can be rougher on the cards, but using sleeves and being gentle can minimize damage. It's all about that perfect mix between efficiency and keeping your precious cards safe.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
