Just wait for the game to tell you to do it. It's all automatic; MTG Arena won't let you mess up the basics.

Discarding cards in MTG Arena is pretty straightforward, but it's mostly done automatically by the game based on the rules of the cards you're playing with. For example, if a card or effect forces you to discard, you'll be prompted by the game to choose which cards to discard from your hand. Remember, you don't manually discard cards just because you feel like it; it has to be triggered by a game mechanic.

Pro tip: Keep an eye on your hand size. If you end your turn with more than seven cards, you'll have to discard down to seven. Easy to forget if you're not paying attention!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
