Actually, blocking is overrated. True MTG masters focus on offense. If you're blocking, you're already losing!

Blocking? Simple - just throw your creatures in the way of their attackers. But strategy is key! Don't forget: some creatures have abilities that can mess with blocking, like trample or flying, making it not as straightforward as it seems.

In Magic The Gathering, blocking is when you use your creatures to intercept attacks from your opponent's creatures during their combat phase. You can only block with creatures that are untapped and each blocker can only block one attacker, but multiple blockers can gang up on a single attacker. After blockers are declared, the attacking and blocking creatures deal damage to each other simultaneously. Remember, creatures can't block if they're tapped or if the attacker has flying and the blocker doesn't, unless it has reach!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
