How does cost reduction work with X cost cards in MTG?
In MTG, cost reduction effects apply to the total cost you pay for a spell, including X. So, if you play an X cost card and have a cost reduction of 2, you subtract 2 from the total amount of mana you spend. This means you can pump that savings into X, making the spell potentially more powerful! Just remember, the reduction applies to the overall cost, not directly to X itself.

Actually, it's simpler than it sounds. Cost reductions just make X spells cheaper to cast. So if X is your big mana sink, you get to cast it for less and pour more mana into X. Easy peasy!
Nah, cost reductions and X spells don't mix well. Better off using fixed cost spells if you're aiming to save mana.
