Crackle with Power is like bringing your own fireworks to a wizard duel. You pay XXRRR (where X can be any amount of mana you choose) to cast it. The fun starts when you calculate the damage: it deals five times X damage to each of up to three targets. So, if you choose X to be 2 (costing you a total of 6 mana: 4 for X and 3 for the RRRed), you get to zap 10 damage around, which could mean saying goodbye to some creatures or even a player or two if you aim carefully!
Not worth it imo. There are better and cheaper spells to ruin someone's day in MTG.
