Defense Grid is a pretty cool artifact card from Magic The Gathering that makes each player pay 3 more mana for their spells if they cast them during another player's turn. So, if you're the type who hates getting your spells interrupted by pesky counterspells or surprise tricks on your opponent's part, dropping a Defense Grid can give you some breathing room. Basically, it makes it costly for your opponents to mess with you when it's not their turn.

Just to keep it simple: Defense Grid ups the cost of casting spells on other people's turns by 3 mana. Great for making your opponents think twice before casting during your turn!

Honestly, Defense Grid is overrated. Sure, it makes spells cost more during other players' turns, but smart players will just work around it. It's more of a speed bump than a roadblock.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
