How does double strike work in Magic The Gathering?
Double Strike in MTG is like your creature getting two shots at the enemy instead of one. Firstly, it hits during the 'first strike' damage phase, and if the creature is still standing and not too dizzy, it goes for a second round in the regular combat damage phase. So, it's pretty much your creature being a double-trouble, fast-hitting champion in the arena!

Honestly, Double Strike is overrated. Most of the time, a strong single-hit creature does the job. Why complicate things?
It's simple: Double Strike means a creature deals damage twice. Once in the first strike phase, and then again in the normal combat damage phase. Think of it as your creature being so quick, it hits twice before the opponent even knows what's happening.
