How Does Drain Power Work in MTG?

Drain Power is a classic Magic The Gathering sorcery card that makes the game interesting. When you play Drain Power, you force your opponent to tap all their lands, and then you gain control of all the mana that those lands could produce. But, here's the kicker - you must use that mana immediately or lose it when the phase ends, as mana doesn't carry over between phases in MTG. It's like saying, 'Thanks for the mana, now watch me use it!'

Honestly, Drain Power is a bit of a niche card. Great for a laugh in a casual game, but don't expect to flip tables at a tournament with it.

Used Drain Power in a game once - felt like a mana tycoon for a second there. It's all about timing and knowing what you plan to do with that mana. Otherwise, it's just a flashy way to say 'I made you tap your lands for nothing.'

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
