How does Fight work with First Strike in MTG?
Oh, dive deep into the MTG rules, and you'll find that Fight and First Strike are like apples and oranges! Unlike in combat, First Strike doesn’t give any edge in a Fight situation. Why? Because Fight simply means two creatures deal damage to each other simultaneously, no matter what abilities they have. So, if your creature with First Strike is told to Fight another creature, they'll both hit each other at the same time, ignoring that speedy First Strike advantage.

Here's the short and sweet: First Strike doesn't apply to Fight. They both deal damage, sure, but First Strike only works in combat phases, not in Fight situations.
Actually, I learned this the hard way in a game! First Strike feels mighty until you use it in a Fight. Creatures with First Strike and a regular one will just smack each other at the same time during a Fight. Thought my First Striker would dodge the hit. Nope!
