How does Horizon Stone work in MTG?

Actually, Horizon Stone is a bit overrated. Sure, saving mana sounds cool, but in most games, you're better off just using your mana efficiently each turn instead of banking on future turns. MTG is all about strategy, not hoarding.

Horizon Stone is pretty straightforward but also kinda magical if you ask me. When you have Horizon Stone on the battlefield, any unspent mana you have at the end of your phases doesn't just poof! disappear into the aether. Instead, it turns into colorless mana and sticks around for your next moves. So, it's like banking your mana for a rainy day, letting you save up for those big, game-changing plays.

So, Horizon Stone saved my bacon in a Commander game once. Had it out, and was able to store up enough mana to unleash a massive spell that wiped the board clean. Without that stone, there's no way I could've pulled it off. It basically lets you break the rules of mana resetting each turn, which can be a game-changer in longer, more strategic matches.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
