Madness in MTG is a cool mechanic that lets you do something productive with the cards you're discarding. When you discard a card with Madness, you're not just throwing it away. Instead, you have the option to cast it for its Madness cost, which is usually cheaper than its regular casting cost. It's like a two-for-one deal: you're getting rid of cards your opponent might be forcing you to discard while also getting to cast the card for a steal.

Too complicated. Just hit things until they fall over. Why bother with all the sneaky discarding when you can focus on straightforward smacking?

Madness is all about turning a downside into an upside. Normally, discarding cards feels bad, but with Madness, it's your secret weapon. When instructed to discard a card with Madness, look for the Madness cost. You can pay that instead of sending the card straight to the graveyard, casting it right then and there. It's a fantastic way to surprise your opponent and use your resources efficiently.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
