Double strike doesn't matter. Just load your deck with big creatures and smash your opponent. Who needs fancy keywords when you have raw power?

Double strike in Magic The Gathering means that the creature deals both first-strike and regular combat damage. So, it hits twice in the combat phase: once during the first-strike damage step and again during the regular damage step. It's like giving your creature a one-two punch opportunity each turn it attacks or blocks!

Think of double strike as your creature being super speedy and skilled, getting to throw the first punch AND the follow-up punch before anyone can hit back. It deals damage before those without first-strike or double strike, and then gets to hit again with everyone else.

Personal experience: had a deck centered around double strike. It's devastating. With the right enchantments or equipment, you can double the hurt and take out opponents' creatures before they know what hit them. Super effective!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
