How does MTG Standard rotation work?
Think of it as spring cleaning but for MTG. Out with the old, in with the new. Keeps the game spicy and all of us on our toes!

MTG Standard rotation is pretty straightforward. Each year, when the fall set is released, the oldest four sets in Standard are rotated out. This means your Standard deck might need some updates, as cards from those sets will no longer be legal to play in Standard format tournaments. The idea is to keep the game fresh and challenging!
Actually, it's not that bad. Just keep an eye on which sets are currently in play and which will be leaving Standard next. It's like a calendar for your deck.
