In MTG Commander, priority determines who can cast spells or activate abilities at any given time. Simply put, the player whose turn it is gets priority first. After they play a spell or ability (or choose not to), priority passes clockwise around the table. This continues until everyone passes in succession, at which point the stack (all the spells and abilities waiting to resolve) starts to resolve top-down. Super important to remember: you can only play instants or activate abilities with priority unless it's your main phase and the stack is empty!

Honestly, just remember, priority in Commander is mostly about being polite and giving everyone a chance to respond. Not as complicated as it sounds.

Priority in Commander works like a game of hot potato but with spells. The active player gets it first and can either cast something or pass. If they cast, we go around the table seeing if anyone wants to respond. No responses? Spell resolves. It's like saying, 'Your move,' but with extra magical steps.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
