In MTG, 'protection from a color' means a card can't be blocked, targeted, dealt damage, or enchanted by anything of that color. Imagine it as an invisibility cloak against all things of that color - spells, creatures, you name it. So, if your creature has protection from blue, your opponent's blue creatures can't block it, and their blue spells can't target it. It's a great way to safeguard your cards against specific threats.

Protection from a color basically makes your card a superhero against that color. It's like having an immunity shield! No damage, no targeting, no blocking, and no enchanting from that color. Super straightforward.

Honestly, I think people overcomplicate it. Protection from a color just stops four things: blocking, targeting, damage, and enchanting by that color. That's all there is to it.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
