How does a Storm MTG deck work?
Oh, you're venturing into the stormy waters! Alright, so a Storm deck in Magic The Gathering revolves around the storm mechanic, where the number of spells you cast before the storm spell amplifies its effect. Basically, for every spell cast earlier in the turn before a storm spell, that storm spell copies itself that many times. So, if you cast three spells and then a storm spell, you get three additional copies of that storm spell. The goal is usually to chain together lots of cheap spells to build up a huge storm count and then cast a game-ending storm spell like 'Grapeshot' or 'Mind's Desire' that deals damage or gives you massive advantage.

Honestly, storm decks just feel like you're trying to solve a complex puzzle while hoping your opponent doesn't cut your thinking process short. It's a ton of setup but when it goes off, it's like fireworks.
Storm decks are all about playing lots of spells in one turn. Each spell before the storm one amps up the finale. Short story: the more you play, the bigger the boom.
