How Does Double Strike Work in MTG?
Double Strike in Magic The Gathering lets a creature deal both first-strike and regular combat damage. This means if your creature has double strike, it'll hit once during the first-strike damage phase before other creatures without first strike or double strike get a chance to hit back. Then, it hits again during the regular combat damage phase. It's like getting two swings in one turn!

Double Strike? Overrated. Just smash with big creatures. Who needs two hits when one does the job?
Had a game where my tiny 2/2 with double strike took down a 4/4 because it hit first and then hit again. Double strike is like giving your creature a two-punch combo before the opponent can react. Super cool mechanic!
Just think of double strike as your creature being super speedy, getting to hit twice before the other guy knows what hit 'em. Once in the first strike phase and then again in the normal combat phase. POW POW!
