How long does mana stay in your mana pool in MTG?
Mana doesn't stick around! It vanishes faster than my desire to exercise. End of each phase and step, poof, gone. Use it or lose it, folks.

Only until the current phase or step ends. No saving for later!
Mana in your MTG mana pool empties at the end of each step and phase. So, if you tapped lands or used abilities to generate mana and didn't spend it, wave that mana goodbye when the phase ends. Plan your moves accordingly!
Actually, having mana stay in the pool between phases could be a neat house rule for casual games. But officially, it clears out. So make sure to spend it all before moving on!
