How many 2-3 drops should a MTG limited deck have?

In a typical MTG limited deck, aiming for about 9 to 12 creatures in the 2 to 3 drops range is a solid choice. This ensures you've got a good curve, allowing you to consistently play creatures in the early game. Remember, balance is key! Too few, and you might find yourself without plays in the early turns. Too many, and you risk running out of steam against decks with stronger late-game plays.

8-10, max. Anything more and you're just asking to be overrun by any deck with a decent late game. Keep it lean and efficient.

From my experience, 10 is the magic number for 2-3 drops in a limited deck. Keeps the deck fast and lets you apply pressure early on!

Honestly, it depends on your deck's strategy, but 10-12 two and three drops combined usually works great. If your deck is more aggressive, lean towards more 2 drops. For a slower, control-type deck, a few more 3 drops can really help stabilize your game.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
