How many legendary creatures can be in play in MTG?
In Magic The Gathering, there's technically no limit to how many legendary creatures can be in play. However, the 'legend rule' kicks in here. This rule states that if a player controls two or more legendary permanents with the same name, that player must choose one and put the others into their graveyard. So, you can have multiple legendary creatures, but each must have a different name.

Just one of each. If you try to play a second of the same name, you're going to have to say bye to one of them thanks to the legend rule.
Unlimited, but remember the legend rule! You can't have two of the same. So, as many as you want, as long as they're all different names. Happy deck building!
