Just buy a preconstructed deck and start playing. You'll learn what you like and dislike, then you can start swapping cards in and out.

Don't overthink it! Start with a theme you love, maybe dragons or zombies, and build around it. Magic is all about fun. As you play more, you'll naturally get better at deck building.

Honestly, deck building for beginners? Grab a starter deck. It鈥檚 the best way to learn the ropes without getting overwhelmed by all the choices out there.

Starting your MTG deck building journey? Stick with a single theme or strategy to keep it focused. Pick a color or two that supports your strategy well (don't go overboard with colors as it can complicate your mana base). Include around 24 lands in a 60-card deck to ensure you get the mana you need. Balance your deck with a mix of creature, spell, and artifact cards. And don鈥檛 forget to playtest and tweak!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
