Making foil proxy MTG cards is pretty fun and not super difficult! First thing you need is a transparent sticker paper. Print the card image you want on this sticker paper. Then, you need a foil MTG card you don't mind repurposing. Strip the original ink off the foil card using acetone (nail polish remover works). Once it's clean, apply your printed sticker on top of the foil card. Voila, you've got yourself a shiny proxy!

Honestly, just print the image on regular paper and slide it into a sleeve with a real foil card behind it. It's way easier and less messy than the whole acetone and sticker method. Plus, you can swap out proxies without any hassle!

I've tried both methods, and the sticker+acetone one definitely looks cooler but takes more effort. If you're just looking for functionality, go with printing and sleeving. But if you want that wow factor, take the time to make a proper foil proxy. Just be careful with the acetone!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
