Honestly, just check the border color and skip the rest. White border = Unlimited, end of story.

Checking if a MTG card is from the Unlimited set is pretty simple! Look for white borders around the card - that's a classic Unlimited edition trait. Also, the Unlimited set doesn't have a copyright date printed below the image on the right side, which is something you'll see in the Revised Edition and others that came after. And don't forget the art! Unlimited cards often share artwork with their Beta and Alpha predecessors, but it's the border and lack of date that'll give it away.

I once thought I struck gold with an Unlimited Black Lotus but turns out, it was just a well-kept Revised edition. The devil's in the details, folks. Those white borders and missing copyright dates are your best friends in identifying an Unlimited card. Saved me from a costly mistake!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
