Easy peasy! Just check the color of the set symbol on the card. Black is common, silver is uncommon, gold is rare, and orange/red is mythic rare. And for a special treat, cards with no set symbol are usually promo cards.

Don't forget about the special symbols for super rare cards! Some sets have unique symbols for masterpieces or collector's editions, which can be even rarer than mythic rares.

Gold means rare. That's all you really need to remember.

Pro tip: If you're holding a card and wondering about its rarity, it's probably just a common. The real rare ones are the ones you're always looking for but never have.

Honestly, just look it up online. There's a ton of databases that'll tell you the rarity of any card if you're not sure about the set symbol color.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
