Figuring out if your MTG card is a textured foil is kinda like being a detective! First, run your fingers gently over the surface. If it's textured, you'll feel the bumps and ridges that aren't there on regular foils or non-foil cards. Also, look at how the light reflects off the card. Textured foils have a unique sparkle thanks to their uneven surface. Lastly, hold it at an angle – this makes the texture more obvious compared to regular foils.

Just feel the dang card, easy. Textured foils are bumpy, end of story.
I've got a bunch of textured foils, and the best tip I can give is to look at them under a good light source. Textured foils kinda dance under the light because of their irregular surface. If it doesn't look any different from a regular card under the light, then it's probably not textured.
