Spotting what set your Magic The Gathering card is from is super easy once you know where to look! Just glance at the right side of the card, right between the card's art and its stats. You'll find a small symbol there, unique to each set the card belongs to. If you're still stumped, the card's collector number and set name are typically printed at the bottom too. Trust me, once you get the hang of identifying these, you'll be a pro in no time!

Just Google the card name and check the images tab. Works every time. Why bother memorizing symbols?

Honestly, the symbols confuse me more than they help. I just use an app that scans my cards and tells me everything about them, including the set. Way easier than squinting at tiny symbols.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
