Nope, MTG Arena isn't strictly pay to win. You can grind daily quests and events to earn packs and cards. Sure, dropping some cash can speed up the process of building a competitive deck, but skill and strategy play huge roles. I've seen plenty of budget decks take down the big $$$ ones.

Honestly, it kinda is. If you want to compete at the highest levels or in certain competitive formats without grinding for ages, you're gonna need to open your wallet. That being said, you can still have tons of fun and win games without spending a dime.

As someone who's been playing MTG Arena for a while now, I've experienced both sides. You can enjoy the game and win without spending money, especially if you're good at drafting. However, to stay on top of the meta and have access to all the best cards, investing some money does help.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
