What card stock does MTG use?
So, MTG cards are printed on a specific type of paper called 'blue core' paper. It's pretty sturdy and gives the cards a nice feel, not to mention it helps with the whole bending issue. Plus, the printing quality is top-notch, which really makes those artworks pop!

Blue core paper, period. Best stuff for card games.
Honestly, the card stock isn't even that special. Popular opinion seems to overrate it. Cards still bend and wear out. Keep them sleeved, folks.
Just gonna throw it out there - while the current 'blue core' paper is the standard, older cards definitely felt different. So if you're handling vintage cards, they might not feel the same as the newer ones. Technology changes, and so does the card stock, apparently.
