Just count the colored mana symbols in the mana costs of the permanents you control. That's your devotion. Easy peasy!

Devotion in MTG is all about showing your dedication to a particular color (or colors) in your deck. Each card that has a colored mana symbol in its mana cost contributes to your devotion. For example, if you've got a creature card that costs two blue and one colorless mana, that's adding two to your devotion to blue. It's like telling the gods of MTG, 'Hey, look how much I love blue!' The more symbols you have of a certain color, the higher your devotion to that color is.

Devotion counts colored mana symbols, not the cards themselves. Got a bunch of dual-colored creatures? They're pulling double duty for your devotion to both colors.

Honestly, devotion is kind of overrated. Just play with what you enjoy and don't get too caught up in mechanics.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
