Defender = big nope to attacking. They're the ultimate benchwarmers who only play defense.
From my experience, cards with 'Defender' are great for stalling the game. Gives you time to set up your winning moves without worrying too much about getting hit directly. They can't swing at your opponent, but they sure can stop a lot of damage headed your way.
