What does trample mean in MTG?
Simply put, trample allows a creature to 'overflow' damage onto the opponent if it's blocked by a creature with lesser toughness. So, if your 6/6 trample creature is blocked by a 4/4, the remaining 2 damage gets dealt to the player or planeswalker the creature was attacking.

Trample? Overrated. Just throw bigger creatures at the problem.
Trample in MTG is like that one friend who insists on finishing their point even when you've already agreed with them. Basically, if your creature has trample and it attacks, any excess damage not needed to destroy the blocker(s) goes straight to hitting the opponent's life total. It's the ability that says, 'I'm not stopping just because one obstacle is out of the way!'
