Short version? An emblem in MTG is basically a badge of honor that says 'I did something cool with my planeswalker, and now you have to deal with this effect for the rest of the game.' Good luck getting rid of it, because you can't!

An emblem in Magic The Gathering is a special type of object that's not a card. They're created by certain planeswalker abilities and have effects that last for the remainder of the game. Unlike creatures, artifacts, and lands, emblems can't be destroyed or removed by normal means, making their effects quite powerful and persistent throughout the game.

In my experience, getting an emblem on the battlefield feels like I've got an ace up my sleeve that my opponent can't do anything about. Super satisfying to watch their face when they realize it's not going away. Just remember, not all planeswalkers can give you one, so choose wisely!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
