Masterpieces in MTG are super rare cards found in select sets, adding that extra sparkle to your collection! They first appeared in the 'Battle for Zendikar' set as 'Zendikar Expeditions'. Then they jazzed up 'Kaladesh' and 'Aether Revolt' with 'Kaladesh Inventions'. Not stopping there, 'Amonkhet' and 'Hour of Devastation' brought us the 'Amonkhet Invocations'. Most recently, 'Throne of Eldraine' brought a twist with 'Showcase' cards, which aren't called Masterpieces but are in the spirit of super special rare cards.
Honestly, Masterpieces are overrated. Just focus on the gameplay, not the bling.
